Risk Assessment

Risk assessment is a fundamental and essential part of occupational safety and health.

The aim of the risk assessment is to identify deficiencies, risks and hazards in the working environment, assess them quantitatively and qualitatively, and then identify mitigating measures, with responsibilities and deadlines.

The Occupational Safety and Health Act requires all businesses to have a risk assessment in place. The preparation of a risk assessment is considered a specialised occupational safety and health activity, and therefore only qualified professionals are allowed to carry out this task.

The risk assessment must be performed at a minimum once in every 3 years, but additional risk assessment may be required if there are change to the working conditions (new machinery, materials, technology, etc.), or event of a serious accident of excessive chemical exposure.

The risk assessment covers the work equipment used, hazardous substances, the exposure of workers and the safety analysis of the wordking environment, therefore working with a highly experienced and qualified professional is the key to success.
